Dr. Sankalp Jha

Risk Manager and Donor Advocate, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi – TCTP Chennai, January 2020

I attended the ‘transplant coordinator training programme’ from 20th to 24th Jan 2020 and gained a lot. Not just the knowledge of the topic but about various other things too, like how the programme is being run which is contributing to the society in a big way (as Mr Anupam Srivastava, from HR cell Apollo Delhi correctly said that “they are beautifully running the programme from a small area”).

In my career, neither I ever planned nor I had an idea that such programmes are available. As said good things often happen unplanned, so was my volunteering for Donor Advocate as additional responsibility and hence this training later on. I did my MBBS from RG Kar Kolkata and my MD in Physiology from AIIMS, Delhi and since Aug 2019 I am working as a ‘Risk manager’ and ‘Living donor advocate’ at Apollo Delhi. After attending the programme I think being a Physiologist and working as a donor advocate, am also a good candidate for sharing my part of knowledge in the training programmes. So, given a chance, I would like to contribute to the training programmes.
